Serbia's national budget surplus in the first half of this year amounted to RSD 21.5 billion, as revenues amounted to RSD 611.8 billion, and expenditures amounted to RSD 590.3 billion, the Ministry of Finance stated yesterday. Budget surplus was RSD 13.2 billion in June. RSD 113.4 billion in revenues was collected, out of which RSD 101 billion is from taxes. The largest share of tax revenues comes from VAT, RSD 41.2 billion, and excise taxes, RSD 27.2 billion. Legal entities pay income tax in June, based on annual accounts, so the revenue from this tax is the highest in that month, when RSD 22 billion was collected.
