After the 'poor' economic business in the first half of the year, which called into question the planned growth rates, the third quarter proved to be a lifesaver. The National Bureau of Statistics announced yesterday that the real growth of gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of the previous year, was 4.8 percent. In terms of different areas of business, construction (34.7 percent) has a significant real growth in gross value added, in other words construction of the TurkStream, followed by the information and communication sector (7.7 percent) and wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles, transportation and storage and accommodation and catering services (5.4 percent).
