The agreement on the donation of EUR 8.3 million for the realization and financing of the Belgrade metro project between the Government of Serbia and the Government of France was signed yesterday. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Transport Zorana Mihajlović, the Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, and the Ambassador of France to Serbia Jean-Louis Falconi. It was also announced that the metro would be built by Chinese and French companies, as well as that negotiations are underway. - There is no going back now. The agreement implies that the French company Egis will start preparing a feasibility study, conceptual design and environmental impact assessment study for the first phase, the first metro line. We will also receive a proposal for a solution for the third metro line. In the next year, it can be expected that clear guidelines will be obtained, what the first line will look like, and how much it will cost - Mihajlović said.
