Telekom Srbija has submitted a non-binding bid for the purchase of the Kosovo-based mobile operator IPKO. Due to terms of the non-disclosure agreement, the company cannot provide further details until the tendering procedure ends, Telekom told Tanjug. "We all know Telekom Srbija has a clear ambition to expand its operations, so this offer is another step toward that goal," Telekom said. On Wednesday, Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti said Telekom Srbija had placed the highest bid in the tender for the purchase of IPKO Telecommunications LLC. On his Twitter account, Ahmeti wrote that Telekom Srbija had offered EUR 155 mn. However, he added that the offer should have been blocked. The 100% owner of IPKO is Telekom Slovenia. In July last year, the Slovenian company announced that it would launch the sale of the Kosovo telecommunications company. IPKO was founded in 1999 and fully acquired by Telekom Slovenia in 2018.
