Mineco announced that it continues investing into mining in Serbia by opening another lead and zinc mine, in Raška region. In this manner, Mineco is implementing the long-term development plan for Southeast Europe, where it is one of the biggest investors in mining, both independently and with partners, and owns five active non-ferrous metals mines, of which three are in Serbia, and two are in BiH. In addition to investments into further development of existing mines and geological surveys at multiple locations in the Balkans at the moment, Mineco made its first steps towards opening its fourth mine in Serbia by acquiring the Serbian mining company, Vavrina Resources.
