Serbia's public debt amounted to EUR 27 billion at the end of February 2021, which is 53.5% of the GDP, the Ministry of Finance stated. The debt-to-GDP ratio was 0.2% lower compared to January, or EUR 145 million in nominal amount. A national budget surplus was achieved in the first two months of the year, in the amount of RSD 7.5 billion. Revenues amounted to RSD 214.2 billion, while expenses were EUR 206.7 billion. With a 1.2% y-o-y growth in February, Serbia's inflation was lower than eight EU countries, Macroeconomic Analysis and Trends magazine reports.
