2021 forecasts of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank for Serbia are both 5%. When it comes to 2022, the IMF is somewhat more optimistic than the World Bank and predicts a 4.5% growth. When it comes to inflation, a stable 2.2% in 2021 and 2.4% in 2022 are expected. On the other hand, the current account deficit will amount to 5.7% of the GDP according to IMF estimates, compared to last year's 4.3%, because of lower trade due to the pandemic.
